Within its Strategy Research Division, the firm is further expanding its Machine Learning research capability, with a dedicated long-term mandate.


2. Research Focus

This role focuses on:

  • Exploring frontier machine learning and deep learning methodologies
  • Advancing modeling frameworks for security price prediction
  • Bridging academic AI research with production-grade systematic trading applications

The team emphasizes:

This is not a feature-engineering role.

It is a research-intensive mandate aimed at structural modeling improvement.


3. Role Mandate

The Machine Learning Researcher will:

  • Design and develop advanced ML/DL models for return prediction
  • Investigate theoretical foundations behind model behavior
  • Translate research insights into deployable alpha components
  • Collaborate closely with strategy researchers and engineering teams

The position sits within the Strategy Research Division and follows similar evaluation standards and process structure as senior strategy researchers.

Ideal background:

  • PhD from a top-tier institution in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML mathematical foundations
  • Strong research track record in machine learning
  • Exceptional programming and implementation capability
  • Team-oriented mindset

While PhD is strongly preferred, outstanding candidates with demonstrated excellence in machine learning may also be considered.

Candidates from leading AI research organizations are particularly encouraged.


4. Compensation

Total annual compensation typically ranges from USD 500K to 1.5M, aligned with top global quantitative platforms.
